PRIVACY POLICY

1. OVERVIEW

Zaplattice ("we", "our", "us") is a browser-based strategy game available at zaplattice.com. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We aim to be fully transparent — we don't sell your personal data.

2. DATA WE COLLECT

a) Account Data (registered users only)

If you create an account, we collect your email address and any optional profile details you provide (nickname, preferred color). This is stored securely on the Base44 platform, which powers our backend infrastructure.

b) Game Data

We store game statistics linked to your account — points earned, matches played, and ranking data — to enable leaderboards and profile features.

c) Guest / Anonymous Play

You can play without registering. In this case, no personally identifiable information is collected by us. Session data is stored locally in your browser only.

d) Usage & Analytics

We may collect anonymous usage events (e.g. "game started", "game ended") to understand how the game is played. These events contain no personal identifiers.

3. ADVERTISING

Zaplattice displays ads served by Adsterra, a third-party ad network. These ads may include banner ads, popunders, and interstitial ads shown between games. Adsterra and its advertising partners may:

  • Use cookies and similar tracking technologies to serve and measure ads.
  • Collect your IP address, device/browser information, and basic browsing data.
  • Use your data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Adsterra's data practices are governed by their Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized advertising via aboutads.info or your browser's cookie settings.

We do not control the data collected by ad providers and are not responsible for their practices.

4. PLATFORM INFRASTRUCTURE (BASE44)

Our backend — authentication, database, and hosting — is provided by Base44. Your account data and game records are stored on their infrastructure. Base44 handles data securely and does not sell personal data. For more information, refer to Base44's own privacy practices.

5. COOKIES

We use browser localStorage and sessionStorage to remember your tutorial preferences and session state. These are not tracking cookies. Third-party ad providers (Adsterra) set their own cookies for ad serving and measurement — see Section 3.

6. DATA SHARING

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share data only with:

  • Base44 — our infrastructure provider (data processing only)
  • Adsterra / ad networks — for ad serving (see Section 3)
  • Law enforcement if required by law

7. DATA RETENTION

Account data is retained as long as your account exists. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time from within the app (Settings → Delete Account), or by contacting us.

8. YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing (including under GDPR or CCPA). To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the Contact page.

9. CHILDREN

Zaplattice is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us.

10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the game constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
